Privacy Policy
Version 2026-06-01
This Policy explains what personal information the Infragrid Exchange collects from researchers and how we use it. It covers your account data — not the de-identified bundle data itself, which is governed by our anonymization and data-use processes.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your email, name, institution, and research area.
- Requests: the contents of any RFP you submit, including intended use and budget.
- Usage data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use it
- To authenticate you and provide access to the Exchange.
- To review and respond to your data requests.
- To match bundles and requests to your stated research interests.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
3. Data bundles are de-identified
Datasets offered on the Exchange are anonymized and validated before publication using techniques such as k-anonymity, differential privacy, and redaction. Sample rows are synthetic or de-identified and are not real records.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example, authentication and hosting), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
5. Retention
We retain account and request information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.
6. Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your researcher profile and associated requests.
7. Contact
Reach out to your Infragrid representative with any privacy questions.
